Terms & Conditions

  • All work carried out is subject to our terms and conditions.

  • Once we receive authorisation/deposit/access to site it shall be construed and accepted that the customer and or any entity / persons involved has taken the time to visit our website and thoroughly perused and understood the terms and conditions.
  • All quotations and estimates are valid for 14 days.
  • Payments are strictly on presentation of invoice.
  • Overdue payments shall accrue interest at 2% above prime per annum. The customer shall further be liable for any losses or damages suffered by Blue Cord Nine CC (BCN) as a result of overdue or non-payment of the full amount due or any part thereof.
  • For the duration of work/tasks the rates shall be: Mon – Fri, 08h00 – 16h00 normal rates, Saturdays time and a half and Sundays double on labour rates. Unless prior negotiations are made in writing and agreed by both parties.
  • A deposit may be requested prior to any project and Blue Cord Nine Trading CC reserves the right to change the percentage required.
  • If no initial COC (Certificate of Compliance) is produced this could cost the customer or entity involved extra unforeseen costs to ensure the entire installation is compliant. If a customer or entity refuses to pay for non-compliant faults found by Blue Cord Nine Trading CC, then Blue Cord Nine Trading CC cannot be held responsible nor liable for any damage or loss caused and the customer hereby fully indemnifies BCN.
  • The customer takes responsibility of the electrical installation once Blue Cord Nine Trading CC is complete and has the duty to use it in a safe and compliant manor. No DIY work, all electrical work must be done by a qualified electrician.
  • Any work done on an installation or repair by Blue Cord Nine Trading CC by a person or entity not employed by Blue Cord Nine Trading CC to assist will void all warranties and guarantees, this can also make the entire installation non-compliant and dangerous.
  • All materials carry the standard supplier warranty and guarantee against defective materials. The customer confirms being advised of the supplier’s terms alternatively the customer had made itself aware of and understand the supplier’s terms.
  • Not all products carry the same warranties and backup.
  • Blue Cord Nine Trading CC cannot be held liable for any damage caused by a third party, supplier, product or subcontractor.
  • If a product is defective within the guarantee period, the customer or entity involved shall be liable for a labour charge from Blue Cord Nine as some suppliers do not cover this.
  • Workmanship guaranteed for 1 year subject to the terms and conditions.
  • In the event of loss during a warranty period because of defective workmanship on our part which must be proven by the customer, the extent of our liability shall be limited to the rectification by BCN of the equipment or part thereof on which we have worked during the contract.
  • Under no circumstances whatsoever shall BCN at any time be liable for any claim for consequential loss or damage in whatsoever form that may be sustained by the customer or for any claims made by any other person whatsoever in connection with any contracts made by us, work done by us or the use of goods sold by us and whether due to delay, defects, negligence or otherwise.
  • Notwithstanding any other provision of the contract, ownership of all goods sold, delivered or in any other way made available by the seller/BCN to the purchaser/customer shall remain the property of the seller/BCN until full payment is received. Risk for the integrity and condition of the goods shall pass to the purchaser on delivery of goods to the purchaser. BCN reserves the right to remove the goods and retake possession of the goods should the full purchase price or part thereof not be made in full.
  • Payments made by customers shall be allocated by BCN to any part of the work and or goods at their discretion unless the customer specifies prior to payment what he is specifically making payment of and requests that the payment be allocated accordingly.
  • Blue Cord Nine reserves the right to refrain from providing all services with any customer or entity.
  • Any brand, customer or entity Blue Cord Nine Trading CC does business with may be used for the purposes of marketing. This includes registered trademarks, pictures, videos or any other information that could be used to promote Blue Cord Nine.
  • Once a COC is issued and delivered to a customer or entity they agree that they are satisfied with the work carried out and must make full payment on presentation of invoice.
  • Any waiver or indulgence by BCN shall not be construed as an amendment or variation of these terms unless the parties have agreed in writing.
  • Should any part of these terms be unlawful, then the offending provision may be severed from these terms whilst the remaining terms shall be valid and binding.
  • This is not a credit agreement nor is BCN extending credit or payments on terms to the customer.
